Professional Experience
With over fifteen years of experience, José has been consolidating his career as a Chartered Accountant in the provision of accounting, auditing, fraud investigation and related services to clients in various sectors of activity, in Portugal and abroad.
He had developed most of his professional career at Nexia Santos Carvalho & Associados, SROC, SA, having also benefited from other professional experiences in other international auditing companies, including one of the Big 4, which contributed positively to his personal and professional development, as well as for the development of knowledge and benefiting from accumulated good practices.
The areas where he gather the most accumulated experience are:
- Statutory Audit
- Financial reporting in IFRS
- Account consolidation
- Fraud investigation, due diligence, data analytics and business modelling
- Validation and implementation of internal control and risk management systems
- Training in theoretical and on-the-job environment in matters of auditing, accounting and inspection techniques
